With the bustle and hustle of Black Friday and Cyber Monday behind us, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season.

Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to focus on holiday and end-of-year giving that is powered by the use of social media and collaboration. The goal being to help others through the gift of time, donations, goods or your voice.

Look at what interests you to give and remember that giving isn’t always about the immediate reward, but instead about having the opportunity to make an on-going difference in the community in which you live. This season, I am hopeful that with all the events occurring around us that we take a moment to reflect on the true purpose and value of giving, of giving freely and from the heart.

Papa Ola Lōkahi and the Native Hawaiian Health Care Systems across our pae ʻāina could benefit from #GivingTuesday and giving all year around. To learn more about the Native Hawaiian health, check out our website www.papaolalokahi.org
