HRS 453-2(c). This asserts that medical licensure shall not prohibit healing practices by traditional Hawaiian healers engaged in traditional Native Hawaiian healing practices, both as recognized and certified by any kupuna council convened by Papa Ola Lōkahi
HRS 457J-6. This identifies the exemptions that excuse persons from practicing midwifery without a license, including traditional Hawaiian healers engaged in traditional practices of prenatal, maternal, and child care as recognized by any council of kupuna convened by Papa Ola Lōkahi.
